Today when I got to work there was an email from someone within our district that said this (along with some other details):
New EAP (Employee Assistance Program)
Effective January 1, 2008
District-paid benefit—no cost to employees!
The EAP plan covers limited mental health counseling, limited legal assistance, and limited financial assistance for employee, spouse, and eligible dependents.

Now, what does that tell you about the teaching profession! No wonder there were so many people dropping out like flies! Maybe now that the district is going to foot the bill for our mental health counseling, leagal assistance, and give us some financial assistance people will stay. Heck, they might even come back!
Oh, wait.......it covers LIMITED mental health counseling, LIMITED legal assistance, and offers LIMITED financial assistance.....well, maybe those that are in it will stay, but I don't think the others will be coming back now.
Anywho....just thought I would share that with you all!
