WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!! I am sooooo excited. School is out and I am going to be home for the summer. Timothy thinks MeeMee is coming TODAY!!! We had told him that when Mommy and Daddy go on their trip this summer that MeeMee would be coming to stay with him and Rachel. Well, he thinks that since I am officially out of school and "summer is here" that it is now time for her to come. (This means that I will be hearing him ask the question, "Is MeeMee coming today?" from now until mid JULY!!!!)
The only thing that saddens me is that unless I get internet at the house, I will not be able to get online much. I will be taking the kids to the library some, so I might can catch a glimpse there and catch up every now and then. Well, I have to get online on Wednesdays to weigh in with my friends at No More Junky Trunk. I hope to have great news for them soon. Now that school is out, I plan to work harder than ever to loose this extra weight I have!
I hope you all have a great summer!

Timothy Being Silly!!!
This is my Timothy being silly. Many people that know him, and know his Daddy say that the two of them are Peas in a Pod!!! This is just a small sample of the clown at work! :)
Push Up!

The other day Carlton took Rachel with him to run some errands. After they were done he decided to get her an "icekeem" She has had some ice cream before, but this was the first Push Up that she had ever had.She was a little unsure about it at first, but after she licked it once she was ready for the rest of it!
The Push Up started to melt a little and it bothered her at first, but we told her we would clean her up after she was finished.
That made her happy, so she started eating. She took a quick break from eating to say "CHEEEESE"
After she was finished she held it out and told Carlton she was finished. He snapped a couple more shots, stripped her down to her pull up and literally hosed her off! I was inside giving Timothy a bath and getting him ready for a bowling party. I wish I had been outside to get those pictures!

Consequences
Yesterday when I got home, the sitter told me of some things that Timothy had done that she had to put him in "time-out" for thoughout the day. After she left I was talking to him about those things and he was actually listening pretty intensely (as he does every now and then). After I had finished talking and told him that I just wanted him to tell me the truth, Timothy looks at me and says the following:
"Telling the truth is a good consequence. If you tell a lie that is a bad consequence. Just like if I hit Rachel, that would get a bad consequence, but if I help Rachel, that would get a good concequence. (a small pause) That is what my Daddy has been teaching me!" Then he shakes his head, grins very big, and raises his eyebrows as if to say, "See I do listen and I am learning!"

This is the family on the sheets.
And we'll call this one Dopey!
I guess we are lucky this is the first time that he has done this....now let's just hope little sister doesn't follow him!

Prayers Answered
Praise God!!!
Last night Carlton decided that we HAD to talk to the boy's parents NOW! Timothy was not understanding why he couldn't play with the boys. Carlton didn't want him playing with them until after we had talked as adults about what happened. He wanted the other parents to know that he felt that, although boys will do "boy" things, tricking someone to drink urine was a little extreme.
SO...Carlton had me call and ask when would be a good time for all of us to talk about what had happened. So, I did and after talking to their mother it seemed as if they didn't think it was that big a deal and made it sound like we wouldn't be able to talk until Friday night.
Carlton went to visitation at the church, we had supper, got baths and the kids were in bed when he saw the boy's Daddy sitting on their back porch. So he stood up and asked me if I thought he should just go over and talk to him alone. I told him I was perfectly fine with that (I HATE CONFLICT or the thought of it). So he walked outside and crossed the ditch and sat next to him and started to talk. They talked for a while, then Carlton came home.
When he came in I asked him how it went. He said that their dad told him that at first he didn't think it was that big a deal, until Carlton asked him how he would feel if someone had tricked one of his boys to drink urine. Then things changed.
The plan now is this......the two dad's will sit down with the boys and talk on Thursday (both dad's are off), they will explain how what was done was maybe a "trick", but not a good one, the oldest boy will apologize for tricking Timothy to drink the urine, then they will all go see Spider Man 3.
HAPPY ENDING FOR THE BOYS!!!! And for this Mommy....the stress of the thought of conflict was making me sick!!!

Random Thoughts
This turned out to be a lengthier post than I intended!
Timothy had his first ever Mission Friends ceremony. Here are a couple pictures:
Timothy and Jana (our pastor's daughter and Timothy's future wife, so the two of them say!)
I just thought this one of the only 2 boys was cute. It looks like they are saying something like "Can you believe we made it with all these girls!"Friday, May 11, 2007
CAMERA!!!!
Carlton (and the kids) got me a camera for Mother's Day!!! I know it is a couple days early, but if you knew my husband you would understand. He can't hardly wait for anything. It doesn't matter if he is the giver or the getter. Here is a picture of my camera.
It is a Canon EOS 30D NO...I don't know what all that entails yet, but I know that it can do a lot! I just have to learn how to use it now!!! I am SO excited. I wasn't excited about the price and the thought of another bill coming in the mail, but I LOVE my camera. Hopefully on Monday I will have some nice pictures to post!!
How funny! I was just looking at my post from the other day and I was complaining about not having a digital camera. I wonder if I have been doing that a lot! Maybe that is why Carlton got me one! LOL

Dentist Visit
Wow!! I took the kids to their first ever dentist appointment yesterday. I have to admit that I knew Timothy would do well, but I was concerned about Rachel. When I set the appointment I told them to put Timothy first so that Rachel could watch him, hoping that seeing him would calm her fear, and IT DID!!!! WOOOHOOO!!! The hygienist was the best I had ever seen. She was GREAT with the kids. I took lots of pictures, but I don't have a stinking digital camera SO, you'll have to wait on those. (one day there will be lots of pictures on this site!!) Anyway, I was so proud of my babies!

Momma
My Momma has SO much faith in me! You can see if you read her comments on my posts. With Mother's day comming up I wanted to write a little something about her. I am sure it will make her sob becasue it comes so unexpected, but that's okay, it will be a good sob.
My Momma and I have always been pretty close. Don't get me wrong, there have been moments in our lives that we might have wanted to strangle each other, but we have still been close. My Momma has been always been there for me. She loves me unconditionally. As I do her! She is a very strong woman, although I don't think she believes that.
She has been through a lot in her life. She was married and had a child (me) by the time she was 17 years old and another one (my brother) at 19. She was married to my dad for 10 years, until drugs and excessive alcohol came into the picture. Then there was divorce, 5 years of divorce (but still loving my dad), some church toward the end, salvation, prayer for my dad, his salvation, and a remarriage! Then my dad went into the ministry. Those of you who are minister's wives (like myself) know how strenuous that can be! Since then, some things happened and church has become almost nonexistent. Her heart aches for her son that has been in prison for stealing two watches longer than some people are in prison for molesting innocent children. She cared for her dying mother-in-law, and now for her father-in-law almost to the point of exhaustion before letting others help because she knew that she would see to it that the care they got was THE BEST that she could give. She finally found a place to call "home" after many years of "wandering" from place to place, only to not know what will happen now that Pappy is in a nursing home. Will they have to sell, or will the state take it all when the insurance runs out and they have no other way to pay!
Although she doesn't attend a church right now, she still looks to God and His word for answers to many of her problems. Her heart knows where it should be but she stuggles with life in general now to the point that she is exhausted. My mother will do, and does anything for anyone at almost any time! She is coming to my house to watch Timothy and Rachel while Carlton and I go to Cozumel this summer for our 10 year anniversary, and although to her that will be a break from her everyday grind, it is not going to be a "break" (sorry Momma!) She is the most giving woman I know. She gives her whole self to helping others, and rarely takes time for herself.
I love my Momma!

I'll Love You Forever
A book that all us Mommies know well! I was reading a "blog" friends entry for the day and she was talking about how her baby girl just had her 2nd birthday. She discussed how she was feeling and all my memories and emotions from Timothy and Rachel's 2nd birthdays came back. At the end of the post, she quoted this line from the book we all love, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be" My tears started flowing!
That book is Timothy's all time favorite. As a matter of fact, after I read the book the first time that he really understood what the mother was doing, he asked me if I would pick him up and rock him back and forth! So since that time, everytime I finish reading it, I pick him up, rock him back and forth, and sing those words to him (to my own made up tune) and everytime, he closes his eyes, smiles and snuggles up.
I started thinking of the many times that Timothy has asked me to read that book and I have made an excuse as to why I couldn't....it's too late, Mommy is going to bed now too...and the times I ACTUALLY used not reading it as a punishment! HOW COULD I DARE DO THAT!!!!!!! (sobbing) God has given me these two precious children and has trusted me to love and nurture them. From now on....if Timothy wants that book read...it will be read no matter what.
Thank you Daisy (my new blog friend)!

How Time Flies!
Well, I must admit, I am not good at keeping up with things. I spend a lot of time reading everyone elses posts on their pages, and leaving comments here and there, but I don't take the time to catch up on my own page. HUMMMM!!!
Where to start...the new sitter is working out okay. She is 21 and in some ways it has almost been like having another child around! The first day I had to go around and pick up after her and the kids after I got home. We talked about it and the second day I didn't have to do that. Problem solved! Then last night when I was cleaning the dishes, I noticed that one of my NEW pans (an expensive one that has a non-stick coating) had scratches on it!!! DEEP BREATH!!! My mother has the same pans and assures me that this will NOT affect the quality of the pan, but I have only had them about 3 weeks now. I have been taking extra care of them to make sure I didn't scratch them myself, and then this happens! I know it is not the end of the world and it is just a pan, but it is one of my new ones. (okay ENOUGH whinning)
Timothy has shown Rachel how to get in and out of her crib!!! This morning he came in the laundry room while I was ironing and told me that she was awake. I told him that I would be finished in a minute and would go get her out of her bed. He said okay and ran off. The next think I know, he walks back in the laundry room, says, "Tada!!!!" and points in the direction of the kitchen, and in walks Rachel! LOLOL I didn't show him my laughter, I kept it inside. I asked them how Rachel got out of her bed and immediately Rachel points and says, "T did it!" LOLOL (she calls him T) I SO wanted to laugh, but I didn't. I looked at the two of them and told them that from now on, Mommy or Daddy would get Rachel out of her bed. Then I looked at Carlton and told him that we have got to get her out of that baby bed! It is getting dangerous!
