100th POST!!!!
***I meant to post this before the one on the Kitchen and Pictures.....but I just got so caught up! Anyway, here is what I had PLANNED for my 100th post!***
WOW I would have never thought I would have gotten to this place. This is my 100th post! I can't believe it! I decided to list 100 things about me. These may be things from the past, the present, or things I wish for the future. Some things funny and lighthearted, some sad and shocking. I prayed about what to put on this list, I wanted it to be raw, (I actually started this list a few days ago so that I could think and would have the time to do it all) ......you don't have to read it all if you don't have time, I know is a lot, but I thought "What the heck!"
- Born Sept. 4, 1973
- Found the Lord in 1989
- have one brother
- have an aunt that is only 6 months older than me, we were more like sisters
- attended 6 different elementary schools
- 2 different middle schools
- 4 different high schools
- lived in about 15 or more houses as a kid (those are the ones I can remember!)
- my parents were married at the ages of 16 and 17
- they divorced when I was 10
- remarried when I was 15
- recently split up again
- I love them both and it hurts
- my brother was in prison for 2 1/2 years for stealing 2 watches and not following through with his probation!
- he is doing so much better now!! Praise God!!
- he is happy and engaged and that makes me happy for him
- I had had 6 concusions as a kid (all by the age of 18)
- I drank way too much at the young age of 13 and 14
- was raped at a party when in the 8th grade
- but never told anyone until I told Carlton ( about 6 years later)
- he cried with me that day, I will never forget it!
- 1 college University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (whew!!) okay there was 1 semester of a junior college!
- UMHB is the OLDEST college in TX, NOT Baylor!!!
- found out I had a horseshoe kidney while in college
- did missions in Oregon and Washington one summer
- Met Carlton on the worship team for the BSU (BSM)
- got engaged Dec. 1993
- got married Jan. 4, 1997
- taught in a private school
- started teaching in public schools in 1999
- had first child in 2002
- had second child in 2004
- love my husband
- love my kids
- love my God
- love my church
- love to listen to music (most kinds)
- love mushy romantic movies
- like scary ones too! (not the bloody, yucky kind, but the suspenseful kind)
- i use to love riding horses, but haven't ridden one in years!
- at one time my hair was down past my waist
- the hubby would still love it that long
- I have two big dimples (hince the name DimpleQueen)
- my bestest friend in college gave me that name
- I named her "Chickamay" (from the movie "Nell")
- I have another nickname from college "Onjee!!" Long story there!! but funny one!
- I know some sign language
- I like to use sign language in my worship
- I love Timothy's smile
- and his big blue eyes
- I love Rachel's laugh
- and her strong will (although right now it really gets to me, I know that it will be an attribute that will make her a stronger woman than me!)
- I love My Boy's calf muscles!! HeeHee
- and the smell behind his ears......(go ahead, call me weird!!!)
- I love dark chocolate
- Diet Dr. Pepper
- junior mints
- raisinetts
- and STARBUCKS!! (but it is a little too costly for me to have all the time!)
- I won a Starbucks card from a blogger friend!
- i use to be a hitter (of myself that is) ask me about it and I will share
- struggled from the time I was in college
- it has only happened one time in the last 8 months...which is the longest it has been!
- I use to LOVE my job as a Special Ed. teacher
- sometimes now I feel it's all about the legalities and not teaching anymore!
- I hope to make some kind of difference in this world
- i love people, babies to elderly
- I have the gift of compassion (the hubby will tell you that for sure)
- I love to visit people in the hospital
- I desire to grow closer to God daily
- but I struggle
- I want my children to see Christ in me
- I want them to hunger for Him!
- I want to love my hubby more!
- I want to feel loved
- I long to feel needed
- although I know I am needed (sounds crazy I know!)
- my goal is to get my house in order
- right now I feel that it is a disaster at times
- I want that Sanctuary for my family
- I want to start more family traditions
- I use to be very close to my family
- but not since I have been married and moved around so much
- I have not been on birth control since before I had Timothy
- not actually trying to get pregnant but if it happens.....
- I would love to have more children but am afraid to
- I am planning to have a hysterectomy this summer if I am not pregnant
- I fear being alone
- I often feel like I am "not liked by others"
- I know it is Satan that puts that thought in my head
- I doubt WAY too much!
- I have a hard time trusting people
- I am a stacker! ( I stack things up everywhere!)
- I know I am a princess to the KING despite all the mess Satan throws at me.
- I love listening to Timothy make up "God songs"
- I am so very thankful I have an understanding husband.
- This is my favorite story of Timothy and Rachel in the back of the car.
- This is my favorite funny picture of Rachel.
- I am thankful for my "blogger" friends
- I am thankful for the new "real-life" relationships I am currently forming.
Well, there you have it...... 100 things.....wow that was a lot! Some of those 100 things all came out kind of random. I have looked over the list a few times, added, deleted.........but stopped it at 100! Now you probably know a little too much about me, but OH WELL!!!! As you can tell I am still growing in my walk with the Lord. I still struggle with issues. We all have some don't we?? Maybe mine are a little more than your's or your's may be a little more than mine, either way we all have them and NONE of us are perfect!
